The first day went really well. It kind of started slowly, but that's to be expected, as all of this is new to everyone, including Ms Mueller and myself. The guys seemed most interested in the Story Corps pieces, which was interesting, as they were definetly the most emotionally charged. Ms. Mueller and I decided, after seeing the reaction to the email setup, that we could use the email as a further blog component, rather than just straight blogging. We can copy and paste the 'google talk' transcripts into the blog: it will pretty easy to teach the students how to cut and paste. I think using google talk will give them a good tech skill, as well as create more interesting and natural narrative lines. Dajuan, Michael and Derrick, if you have a chance, maybe try to find google talk within gmail, and send each other a message. It's pretty easy, once you find it. Here are the email addresses of your classmates: michaelrca@gmail.com, derrick lassey
